Azorsky
Strange news everyone, Penta has apparently had a second project for a couple of years now. The time has come to announce Azorsky - the fusion of electro, house and melodic lounge, Penta style. The MySpace page has just been launched - you can find it at www.myspace.com/azorsky. Azorsky.com is also on the way. We are expecting the releases from Azorsky on Beatport, iTunes and the other download shops soon!

Festival Year
This year is looking like it is going to be the most festival-packed year for AuraQuake artists ever. From Universe of Stars in Moscow on May 17 to Cachoeira Alta in Brazil the weekend after, to Psychedelic Circus in Germany on June 7 and Life Festival in Ireland on 4th of July to Boom Festival in August in Portugal where AuraQuake is organizing the Boom Radio you will see the Live and DJ sets of our artists. Boom Radio 2008
This year AuraQuake is going to be invloved in the Boom Festival Radio Project once again. Stay tuned for more information! Boom Festival is happening near Portugal's town Idanha-a-Nova from August 11-18.

Penta, Janczur vs. Paula at Universo Parallelo 2007-08
At this moment Catia and Nikita have arrived to Sao Paulo, Brazil for Penta performance in Universo Parallelo Psytrance Festival in Bahia, where Paula and Janczur are also expected to play. This is the first major trance festival with more than one AuraQuake artist on the line-up!

New Artists joining AuraQuake
On December 12, 2007 we have turned 3 years old! In this celebration we were joined by the new artist and two DJ acts to collaborate on future projects. We are welcoming the cutting edge producer Matias aka Frantic Noise from Dark Prisma Records in Argentina, who's tracks we played throughout 2007 party season. We are also super-stoked to be in the company of DJ SpliffNik from BrainBusters collective from Tokyo, who have hosted our latest release parties, and a DJ Duo Janczur & Paula from The Full On Project, our old friends who also help with AuraQuake bookings in Brazil with the 4 a.m. Artist Management. More information on everybody is in the Artists section. AuraQuake is also about to add a few more artists and DJ to the roster soon. Looks like 2008 is going to be a wild year for this label!

AuraQuake = Family label

Catia and Nikita got married on August 18th 2007 in Horta, Faial, Azores Islands, Portugal. The celebration was a family and friends kind of thing with a tropical theme. It was the most fun Wedding we have been to for sure! :-) The festivities ended in the morning, of course...

Summertime

We are taking it quite easy this summer, mostly resting at our home in the Azores and working on new music. Apart from that, Penta went to Australia in June and Parus threw their annual festival in California, called Red Marines. They have also played some parties around US. You will see Penta at Full Moon Festival in Germany this year, and Portuguese people along with the visitors to AuraQuake's new home country will be able to see him at the Sinergia Festival on the 28th of July. Besides that, AuraQuake is about to become a family-owned enterprise on August 18th :-)

From Andes to Brazil

After living one month in Chile (Earth Dance Festival) and Argentina, crossing the Andes two times and spending some quality time in Mendoza wineries, we have finally come to Brazil, where we are going to stay for more than a month. There are Penta parties planned in Porto Belo, Belo Horizonte, Universo Paralello and Vitoria so far. You could also find us in Bahia in January, especially in Trancoso. Meanwhile, Parus is taking California by storm with X-Mas Parties.

After 4.5 hour set of Penta music in Buenos Aires (click on the photo to go to YouTube Videos), we are moving West to the Wineries of Mendoza where we are going to stay for 4 days. After that, we'll cross the Andes to play in Earth Dance festival in Chile. Meanwhile, more parties in Brazil are about to be confirmed soon...

AuraQuake Music Online

On Novemeber 16 we are landing in Buenos Aires, starting 2.5 months Penta South America tour celebrating our new compilation "Jitter Glow" and Penta's new secret album. :-) There was a lot of work done in the past months. We are proud to announce that we have recently partnered with Ingrooves, the world largest distributor of online electronic music, to bring AuraQuake Music to tens of music download stores, such as iTunes, BeatPort, AOL, MusicNet, etc. as we continue to make sure you have as much access to our creations as possible. Boom Radio Post-Mortem



Well, what can we say - Boom Radio was a challenging and a very interesting project. We had met many interesting people along the way and without them, especially Diogo, Nena, George, Helma and many people from the Boom Organization, Artur and Joao from Daily Dragon, Marcelo, Iain and Hugh from RadioVague.com, Nik and Louise and Psystream.net, Alpha, Sam, Quasar, Pedro Pinto and all the presenters, jingle makers, people of support - I would not imagine this project become possible. Huge, Huge thank you to all of you guys!!! Not everything always went smooth, - in fact, we had to shut down earlier than expected for reasons beyond our control, but the sense of satisfaction with the project is with us for sure. It was a tremendous success with listeners in both Boom Festival and online (we have had more than 169 000 hits according to Psystream stats, and that is just one of the streaming sites!) For those wanting to relive the moments or catch up with the missed material, I will try to post some of the shows online as soon as I can, and you will probably see them on Boom site as well. Also, just for the record, Boom Radio was not meant to be a dance floor streaming service (sorry - too many artist's consent complications, guys...) - but rather it was trying to be a Radio Station serving people at Boom and hopefully transmitting the Boom Vibe to our online audience. However, who knows what the future will bring? ... Speaking of that, we are not going to say anything about the future of this project as of right now, since we are still recovering from it, but for sure we have many ideas on how to evolve it and we welcome yours. :-) Thanks for listening!

Boom Radio
At this year's Boom Festival in Portugal, AuraQuake team is hosting Boom Radio Station, the first thing of its kind in a trance festival. We are gathering like-minded individuals around us to help host radio shows, interviews, help with technicalities, etc.. We view this initiative as a enthusiasm-based community art project within the Boom Festival framework. If you would like to know more about this project please visit the Boom Radio page on the Boom Website. We are also looking for Jingle producers, so if you feel like making a 3-30 second Jingle for Boom Radio, please send it to boomradio@auraquake.com and stop by the radio booth at Boom Festival for some AuraQuake goodies. Sektor 7G joins AuraQuake

We are super stoked to have Sektor 7G, our long-time friends, on board of AuraQuake airplane. These guys' music is quite unique in our opinion. We have never enjoyed anybody play at an afterparty as much as Scott McDonald (left) and Alex Becker (right). Up until now, apart from releasing on other labels, they have released two tracks - Exploit and X-Mas on our Seismic Mood compilation and have already won some fans around the world. Stay tuned for much-awaited album from Sektor 7G on AuraQuake. And, yeah, now you spell Sektor with a 'K' not 'C' like before...To learn more about these guys, proceed to the Artists section.

AuraQuake is leaving Azores Islands to go to Soulclipse Festival in Turkey. Over the last months and now we are working on music and preparing new releases like a night-time compilation to be released before the summer. Please send us your stuff! We are looking for crazy fast psychedelic tracks with more emphasis on sample destruction, granular synthesis, deep atmospheres and new developments in sound design technology rather than analog leads and FX. We are also trying to stay away from the "Evil" and "Dark" track names, so, please don't send us tracks named "Death Demon" or "Fatal Breath of Hell". Let's see, it should be an exciting release. Again, we are trying to make something different, so let's stay away from generic night-time music! :-)

AuraQuake's first official presentation
The first party with Penta appearing as the AuraQuake artist is coming to San Francisco on March 18 2005. The Fusion Party is going to take place at 1015 Folsom and promises to be a huge event! Catia with our friends from Mistress of Evil is also contributing to the decoration of the space.

Penta is going to be based in Portugal from April 13 to September!
After finishing the work on the album, we are relocating to Lisbon, Portugal on April 13 and going to stay there until September. This way it's going to be easier for European party organizers to book Penta. For bookings, please go to the Penta booking page.

New label created: AuraQuake
Born in Brazil, the new label is going to kick off with a second album by Penta in the first half of 2005. The venture is founded by Nikita Tselovalnikov (Producer) and Catia Leitao (Label Manager). The official colors are 'acai' and 'acerola', the colors of tasty Brazilian fruits.
